Motivation

"This is dedicated to all the teachers that told me I would never amount to nothing," are classic words said by Biggie smalls, that always struck a cord with me. While browsing through YouTube  as I do often, I stumbled upon a video with this song playing in the back and just had to stop and reflect. As a kid who was born in a third world country which was virtually lawless, and came to this great country Canada, I can recall some humble times in my childhood. I was always a people watcher growing up, and to this day I still carry that same trait. However, something happened during those formative years that really has given me a different perspective and outlook on life. At least in my mind, I was always given the short end of the stick, I was the kid that moved around alot, I wasn't given much acceptance. Whether it be my teachers, family, peers, this always seemed to be a reoccurring theme for myself. I know few people who also faced similiar circumstances, and a few of them have their troubles. But at the same time I have always had this deep inner desire to "improve" myself, to get "better" regardless of what I am doing. I made a promise to myself recently, to never give up, and not even have that word in my dictionary. And, I hope to keep this promise, and constantly improve myself, because at the end of the day, I ain't no bitch.
